Wet to Dry flat irons seem to be the latest craze. When you’re short on time and don’t feel up to using so many appliances on your hair first thing in the morning, than I can see how using a wet to dry flat iron would seem like the perfect solution. Emphasis on the “seem”.

The truth is when you use a wet to dry flat iron you are actually increasing your styling time by almost twice as much. The iron has to work harder at drying your hair. The other thing I have noticed about these flat irons is that there is going to be moisture left in your hair that only traditional blow drying or air drying methods would eliminate. When there is moisture left in your hair then you are just begging for a style that will not stay and within and hour or two you are going to look like a poodle dog!

But I can’t totally dis the wet to dry flat iron all together. When you use one on already dry hair, then this can be a beautiful friendship for your hair. It can remove any small traces of moisture and some can actually straighten your hair pretty darn good.
